Self-described as the Gaysian empress of Sydney, Dyan Tai (he/they) makes electronic hyperpop music fused with Beijing opera sounds and traditional Southeast Asian soundscapes. From humble beginnings in Malaysia to carving a niche on the Sydney cabaret stages and now evolving into an electronic artist, the trilingual, Chinese-Australian artist is known for their captivating live shows that include powerful visuals, Chinese operatic makeup and their iconic mirror-coated keytar.
