	 limits in\nthe cinema! For all fans of the explicit\, the extreme\, and t
	he repulsive. As\nalways\, presented from analog\, historical film prints—
	this time\, a suitably\nworn-out German-dubbed "Bahnhofkino" print\, as we
	ll as a rare original print\nwith English subtitles.\n\nWhat can we reveal
	 about the films? Well: One takes us to the rural U.S. of\nGothic mansions
	\, the other to a supposedly vibrant paradise along the Amazon.\nDescendin
	g into the basement means facing terror head-on\, just as one danger\nfoll
	ows another behind the lush greenery of the jungle. Full-frontal\nexploita
	tion. In both cases\, however\, there’s also a deeper layer—the “clever”\n
	ones among us can expect a nod to Freud’s metapsychology as well as a memo
